Back to Hogwarts: What if WordPress Was Taught in Muggle Studies?

September is a very special month for all Harry Potter fans around the Globe. The date September 1st is circled with bright, sparkling colours in the calendar of every geek who calls himself a Potterhead – the official title, given to members of the Harry Potter fandom. And guess what? When the date finally came this year, everyone at our WordPress Agency for Development started the month by greeting one another with “Happy Back to Hogwarts Day!”.

If you’re thinking “Gee, these guys really are THAT obsessed with pop culture”, you’ll be totally right. We’re the geeks of the WordPress community and we have absolutely no shame in professing our love for all fantasy things. Books, comics, movies – you name it, we love it all. Harry Potter, in particular, holds a very dear place in our hearts as most of us have practically grown with the books and their lovely film adaptations.

By the way, if you ever meet some of the WordPress developers or content creators from Vipe Studio you can definitely expect us to ask you “What’s your Hogwarts house?”. You know, some people ask for zodiac signs while others care more about Hogwarts houses. It is what it is.

Oh, and it’s very important to note that we don’t judge people based on their Hogwarts house – we love them all and we have proud representatives from every house working at Vipe (for example, the author of this article is a fellow Slytherin – Hi, and no, I don’t kill people in my basement for fun).

So, with September being Back to Hogwarts month our WordPress development agency really wanted to do something special and celebrate alongside our blog’s readership. This is why, at the very end of this month, we’re playing a game of “What if…?” (Marvel fans, we see you, give us a high five…or a follow) and we’re inviting you to ponder the question “What if WordPress was taught in Muggle Studies?” together with us.

Our WordPress development company loves everything about Hogwarts, and honestly what’s not to love?! It’s a majestic castle in which you’re taught how to do magic. Yes, please, sign us up, send us our acceptance letters or whatever – just take us! We can only imagine the feeling of walking down the corridors and exploring the many secrets that the castle hides.

Also, Hogwarts during the autumn season? What a dream! We can already hear the sound of dry crackling leaves under our feet, just by closing our eyes. This is why it is very hard for us to choose just one favourite subject that is taught at Hogwarts. Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Transfiguration – the list goes on and on. We’d be happy to learn ALL of it.

However, there is one subject at Hogwarts that doesn’t spark the biggest excitement when people hear about it and that’s Muggle Studies. This is not at all surprising because we, ourselves, are Muggles (non-magic folks). We know the human world well enough so there’s absolutely no point in studying basic things that we’re already aware of. Right?

Not so quick. Our WordPress Agency for Development has an idea of how to make Muggle Studies a lot more interesting and challenging for the students of Hogwarts. Just teach them about WordPress website development! Duh! It’s so obvious, we can’t believe J. K. Rowling hasn’t thought of that herself. A total miss, if you ask us.
