That is a 400% increase on the previous price of the Expert plan.

Some Play With The Same Rules

Regardless of that big change, Elementor had emphasized that its old customers with an already existing subscription for their WordPress websites will not be affected by those pricing changes. If they want to upgrade to the Agency plan, they will have a 50% discount which can be used between March 9, 2021, and June 9, 2021. Elementor is also allowing its customers to purchase the current Expert plan before its discount.

By introducing these new rules, the company that supports so many WordPress websites has caused many questions from its users, for which some conditions have not been clarified. The head of the company’s web creator program, Ben Pines, has not given a clear answer to that question, saying that he “cannot see into the future”, leaving the customers in the dark about all the new changes. However, Elementor has strongly emphasized the fact that they value the loyalty of their active customers highly. That is the reason why they have never experienced any price change in the last 4.5 years. The company has taken every step to guarantee that those customer’s subscriptions will not be affected.

Since its launching in 2016, Elementor Pro has hardly changed, and the team behind it says it is time to upgrade and answer in the best way possible to the customer’s evolving needs. Nowadays, Elementor is installed on more than 7 million WordPress websites. It serves a wide user community and their different levels of experience.

The new plans also have some new benefits, such as 24/7 live chat support, but many customers announce that this will be of no use because they do not require chat support for Elementor.

The forthcoming price increase has heightened the tensions between the company and its customers, who believe that this drastic increase is unjustified for the current state of the software. They talk about usability issues, persistent errors, and performance matters which have hindered the smooth operation of their WordPress websites. The worry that those disturbances remain unfixed even after the upgrade. The additional support features do not make those higher prices more attractive to the customers, and there may be a conflict of interests between the two parts.
