Vipe Studio at WordCamp Sofia 2023: Event Highlights

The eagerly anticipated WordCamp Sofia 2023, Bulgaria’s largest WordPress event, finally arrived last weekend (April 22-23), after the last in-person gathering in 2019. Held at Sofia Tech Park, the event brought together over 400 experts, both national and international, from different companies, as well as freelancers and enthusiasts, all keen to deepen their understanding of the latest WordPress-related topics and best practices.

The Bulgarian WordPress community was ecstatic to finally reconnect and bond over their shared love for WordPress. So was our team. Let’s see how WordCamp Sofia 2023 went through the eyes of Vipe Studio.

Vipe Studio at WordCamp Sofia 2023

We, at Vipe Studio, were thrilled to attend our first WordCamp Sofia, wearing many hats.

• Vipe Studio was a proud lanyard sponsor of the event and our logo and mascot Viptor emblazoned on everyone’s badge throughout the weekend
• Our CEO Ivan Popov and our Tech Lead Ivan Viyachki, both played significant roles in organizing the event, ensuring great times for all the attendees.
• As every great event needs a charismatic MC, our CEO stepped into the role of introducing the speakers and keeping the energy levels high.

Conference Day

While Vipe Studio played an active role in the event organization, our team also enjoyed the conference day and attended captivating talks on WordPress, the ever-evolving digital landscape, and its interconnectedness. The engaging sessions helped us stay abreast of the latest industry trends and foster new ideas for our work. Some of the topics were:

WordCamp events are famous for offering excellent networking opportunities and building connections with like-minded individuals. Our team seized this chance to meet established members of the Bulgarian WordPress community, exchange knowledge on various topics and build new relationships.

Contributor Day

On the second day of WordCamp Sofia 2023, the WordPress enthusiasts rolled up their sleeves and headed to Contributor Day. During the day, there were four contributor teams – Accessibility, Polyglot, Support, and Core.

A representative from our Vipe Studio was our Tech Lead Ivan Viyachki along with established contributors from the Bulgarian WordPress community.

The Power of Shared Passion: WordPress Communities

WordCamp Sofia 2023 was a long-awaited event for the Bulgarian WordPress community and everyone’s excitement was noticeable throughout the whole event. For us, at Vipe Studio, it was a great opportunity to meet with fellow WordPress experts and enthusiasts, attend informative lectures, contribute to WordPress, and of course, enjoy a good time!
