Case Studies
READING TIME: MIN
At Vipe Studio we do not only build software for clients – we build and run our own products. Coach by Vipe™ is one of them: a coaching platform and mobile app for sports teams, live on the web, on Google Play and on the App Store.
The idea came from the training ground. Coaches of children’s teams keep attendance, notes and feedback in notebooks and chats, parents ask the same questions after every session, and nothing survives when a coach changes. We wanted one place where every training session is written down once and shared with the right people.
This case study walks through what we built, how it is architected, and why the same approach – a Next.js and Node.js codebase shipped as a website and as native store apps – is the fastest way to launch a product today.

Coach by Vipe is a SaaS product for coaches of any sport – football, swimming, tennis, martial arts, athletics. A coach creates a profile and club, adds teams and athletes, and logs every training session with attendance, notes and individual or team feedback. Each athlete gets an invite link; the parent (or the adult athlete) opens a free account with it and follows the sessions from then on.
The product is fully bilingual (English and Bulgarian), has a free tier and paid plans with subscriptions and invoices, an admin back office, and an AI layer that polishes coaches’ notes and summarises an athlete’s progress over a period.
It runs as a website at coach.vipe.us and as a mobile app for Android and iOS – from a single codebase.
A setup wizard creates the club, sport, team, age group and season in minutes. Athletes can be imported from a spreadsheet. Clubs are shared entities, so several coaches from the same club work on one roster and nothing is lost when a coach leaves.
Every session records the type (training or event), date, duration, location, attendance and a note. Feedback can be tagged to the whole team or to individual athletes, with mood and behaviour indicators, and a visibility flag decides whether parents see it.

One invite link per athlete. The parent registers with it and gets a read-only dashboard scoped to that athlete only. One family account can follow several children across different coaches. Email notifications keep parents informed without the coach lifting a finger.
Free, Starter, Pro and Team tiers gate the number of athletes and coaches. Card payments and subscriptions run through a bank virtual POS with 3-D Secure, with automatic renewal, invoice generation and an export for accounting.
Coaches type quick notes; the AI polishes them into clear feedback in the coach’s language. A second feature analyses all sessions an athlete was tagged in over a period and produces a progress summary that the coach can share with the parent.
A separate admin area gives us statistics, user and team management, invoice exports, audit files and support tools – everything needed to run the product without touching the database.

Coach by Vipe went from idea to a live, paid product with real coaches and parents using it every week – a swimming club was among the first. The web app, the Android app and the iOS app share one codebase and one release process, which keeps the running cost of the product at the level of a single web project.
Visit the product at coach.vipe.us or find it on Google Play.
If you have a product idea that needs a website, a customer area and mobile apps, this is exactly the shape we build: a Next.js and Node.js application on a managed database, shipped to the web and the stores from one codebase, with payments, roles, email and AI wired in from day one.
We have done it for our own products, so we know where the traps are – store reviews, subscriptions, multilingual content, native quirks. Get in touch and we will scope your product the same way.
