Viptor Says: Turn Your WordPress Admin Interface Into an Autumn Fairy Tale
READING TIME: MIN
Hello once again from your intergalactic WordPress friend – Viptor! Ever since I came to live on Earth, one of the most mesmerizing things I’ve witnessed is the changing of the seasons. Honestly, this nature of yours blows my mind every single day. I absolutely adore all seasons and I get equally excited for each of them. However, autumn holds a very special place in my heart (although, let’s be honest – I’ll probably say the same thing when winter comes and then so on, and so on).
It’s September now which means that autumn is knocking on our doors. And trust me when I tell you that I and the WordPress developers from Vipe Studio will gladly open the door for this magical visitor. I don’t even know where to begin with my admiration for this beautiful season. The warm rays of the Sun, the leaves slowly changing colour from green to the most unique combinations of red, brown, and yellow. It’s as if some skilful magician has used his magic wand to cover the whole Earth in gold.
Hello, Autumn!
One of the things I really love about autumn is the spirit it brings to the office of our WordPress Agency for Development. The brisk mornings are begging for a cup of something nice and warm and the sunny afternoons are reminding us of the last pieces of summer fun we can still have. By the way, speaking of hot beverages, there is one drink that has become a staple for the fall season. You can probably guess what I’m referring to – the queen of the coffee world, the illustrious Pumpkin Spice Latte.
I still remember the first time I tried this drink. It was actually the girls from our WordPress development agency that made me give it a shot. I was a bit hesitant at first because at the time I was still new to the concept of drinking coffee and the thought of mixing it with a pumpkin flavour was weird to me. In the end, I did try it though and let me tell you, I do not regret it! It’s really that good and it basically tastes like autumn in a cup. I like it so much that I will never be able to think of fall without imagining the taste and smell of Pumpkin Spice Latte.
With that being said, the astronomical autumn begins on September 22 (which is this week!) and our WordPress development company couldn’t be any more excited! We’ll be celebrating by including a few fun activities to (pumpkin) spice up our workdays. These include drinking lots of hot chocolate and Pumpkin Spice Lattes, decorating our office with some autumn bits and pieces, as well as turning our WordPress admin interface into a fall fairy tale.
Here Comes the Pumpkin Spice Admin Plugin
Yes, you read that right – I and the WordPress developers from Vipe Studio will be adding some Pumpkin Spice cosiness to our admin interface. How is that possible, you may ask? Well, if you are an active WordPress user it probably won’t come as a surprise when I tell you that there is a plugin that can make your admin interface an autumnal sight to behold. After all, there is a plugin for pretty much everything, am I right? So let me bring to your attention a little plugin called Pumpkin Spice Admin.
Pumpkin Spice Admin is a plugin released by Ben Byrne who is the co-founder of Cornershop Creative. As I already said, the plugin serves a simple, yet spectacular purpose – to infuse your admin interface with the enchantment of the autumn season. Our WordPress Agency for Development is really here for it! Let me tell you a little bit more about the plugin.
Ok, so if I have to describe the Pumpkin Spice Admin plugin with just one word it will definitely be whimsical. It’s one of those things that feels kind of old school and nostalgic. Our WordPress development agency appreciates these types of creative tools that can make the Internet a more joyful place.
Since the autumn season is a generally busy time for WordPress developers, as there are so many new business opportunities, the Pumpkin Spice Admin plugin is just what they need to remind them of the simple things in life such as the beautiful falling leaves. The plugin is obviously very suitable for personal blogs but even if you’re running a bigger company website, it still wouldn’t hurt to add some fall magic to your admin interface, be it only for the enjoyment of the people who have access to it.
Add Some Pumpkin Spice to Your WordPress Admin
To make it clear, the Pumpkin Spice Admin plugin is meant only for the admin side of WordPress website development. Your site’s visitors won’t be able to take delight in it but it is still a very fun way to add a seasonal admin theme for your own amusement. Our WordPress development company loves the fact that this autumnal season we will be able to metaphorically bring a little something from the lovely outdoors straight into our favourite content management system.
There is one downside to the Pumpkin Spice Admin plugin – it does not rely on the standard WordPress admin colour scheme system. If you’re familiar with the CMS, you know that the colour scheme system allows each user to select their preferred style. Obviously, if it’s just you on your own and you’re running a personal blog this wouldn’t be an issue. However, there can be a slight inconvenience if you’re running a multi-author website because some people might not like the interface’s changed look.
Thankfully, this is not a problem for our WordPress Agency for Development because all of the experts who work in it are very much on board with fun experiments like this one. I actually set up the plugin without telling everyone else but as soon as my colleagues logged in the system, they totally loved the autumnal fairy tale that surprised them from their computer screens.
Falling Leaves and Whimsical Font
If I have to get a bit more technical though, the Pumpkin Spice Admin plugin is not just a colour scheme. It works by adding a custom font as well as a charming falling leaves animation on each admin screen. Our WordPress development agency likes how the leaves fall down on the post-editing screen.
If you’re worried that the animation might be too distracting we can assure you that there are just a few leaves that appear on the screen and they quickly pile at the bottom of the browser window. I and the WordPress developers from Vipe Studio appreciate the fact that it is not a continuous animation.
Another thing the plugin does is that it applies its font to the post title. It actually looks great so it shouldn’t be a major concern for you. Other than that, Pumpkin Spice Admin does not affect the rest of the fonts in the WordPress editor so there’s no need to worry about major changes in the interface you’re used to.
A great perk of the Pumpkin Spice Admin plugin is that it will automatically stop working after the season ends. It is set to run only from September through November by default. This means that the experts from our WordPress development company won’t need to remind me to deactivate it once the autumn season is over.
Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice!
So that was it for today’s very autumn-themed blog post. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I highly recommend you try out the Pumpkin Spice Admin plugin because it is sure to bring a little fall magic into your WordPress admin interface.
I and the WordPress developers from Vipe Studio will be celebrating the arrival of the astronomical autumn on September 22. We can’t wait to begin our new work projects with a cup of delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte in hand. We’ll be watching the beautiful falling leaves not only through our office window but also through our WordPress admin interface.
So long for now and remember that you can always count on our WordPress Agency for Development to bring you the most professional and friendly services related to the creation of the perfect website. We would love to hear from you so don’t hesitate to contact us and keep reading Vipe Studio’s blog to stay up to date with everything concerning the wonderful world of WordPress website development.
